Time & Distance

How to solve Time & Distance Aptitude MCQ ?

These are basic questions that appears in almost all College admission, Entrance exam and other competitive Test.We will be covering multiple choice questions on Time & Distance under this section. We have Listed important formulas and handy tips for good Test scores.

  • Speed = (Distance/Time)
  • For converting Km/hr into metre/second >> X km/hrs = ( X * 5/18) m/sec
  • For converting metre/second into Km/hr >> X m/sec = X * 18/5) Km/hr
  • If the ratio of the speeds of A and B is a:b, then the ratio of the times taken by them to cover the same distance is 1/a:1/b or b:a
  • Suppose a man covers a certain distance at x km/hr and equal distance at y km/hr. Then the average speed during the whole journey is (2xy/x +y)
  • Suppose 2 men are moving in the same direction at u m/sec and v m/sec respectively, then their relative speed = (u –v) m/sec.
